Wes Thompson What You See is What You Get
July 2021
Wes Thompon’s solo exhibit, What You See is What You Get, is about perception, manifestation, prediction, divination, and acceptance.
“There are many ways of seeing, and they can change over time and between individuals and communities. There is an abstractness in form and function that leaves fluidity in what these pieces are and what feelings or images they elicit. They exist in a state of change to be determined by the viewer, forcing you to look inside for familiarity. You can understand yourself and where you are at by understanding what you perceive in these pieces. In understanding yourself, you can accept yourself and by accepting yourself you can accept everything around you.” -Wes
