Daniel Wang Nui Nui

For Daniel Wang’s first solo exhibition with the gallery he presents 6 new paintings touching on identity and his experience as a Chinese American. He speaks on the cross cultural experience of sports and branding and paints intimate portraits of himself, a friend, and basketball player Yao Ming. Wang is a self taught artist from Austin, Texas. The title of his exhibition, Niu Niu, is his Chinese nickname given to him by his parents and is Mandarin for ox.
